1. Hintotex Brands - History

Hintotex Bands was established in 2012 by father and son team, Bruce Bishop and Andrew Bishop. Bruce Bishop has been involved in snack manufacturing for over 30 years but retired and sold his snack food processing plants around the country in 2009. In early 2012 Andrew Bishop was restless at Deloittes after completing his artilces and ask his Father for assistance in setting up a facility in Kwa-Zulu Natal Pietermaritzburg.

In the beginning there where just 15 staff members including Bruce and Andrew, now the business 5 years later employees in excess of 320 people.

Since inception the business has come from fairly humble beginnings to grow into a leader in the snack food business in Kwa-Zulu Natal.

2. Hintotex Brands – Today and Future

Hintotex Brands has established itself after five years a strong market competitor in the highly competitive snack food market. We operate 24hours a day 6 days a week, and cover the whole of Kwa-Zulu Natal. We plan to move into the Eastern Cape, North Cape and Gauteng in 2017.

During current year we will be moving into our newly built and expertly modified factory premises in Richmond Kwa-Zulu Natal. The facility has been build and designed specifically for our purposes with the strictest attention to detail, and with the ever present question of “does this add value for the consumer” as a critical benchmark of design.

With a strict focus on quality and value for the customer Hintotex has developed a strong and loyal customer base. Innovation is critical to the future plans and growth for Hintotex. Hintotex utilizes the principles of CANI – constant and never ending improvement. with focus on the following areas to create cusumer value and quality:
